OUR

Story

Rafik's Side

We met on Tinder (yes, really) and had the most amazingly bad start to our first date. We were approached by a seemingly nice (albeit smelly) tourist asking us to translate for him. What started out as a friendly translation ended up as a stinky third wheel who wouldn't take a hint.

Thankfully, it got better when we had some alone time. We grabbed a bite to eat and sensed a strong connection. Later that night, Ricardo invited me to a flamenco show where he danced, and I was captivated. After the show, we talked and drank -- time flew by and before we knew it, it was morning. We spent the next day together, and then the next, and then the next, until days became weeks and weeks became months.

Ricardo's Side

My side is pretty much like Rafik's except that I found the big third wheel amusing. It made me realize how patient and kind Rafik is with other people, and it was a good moment to analyze what this cute Indian visitor could be like.  I realized I had met a wonderful person who would not kick me out no matter how smelly I was! Maybe we are just easy going guys but we managed to overcome quite a bit on our first date: an undesired tag-along, an earthquake, and Rafik putting up with my artistic sense of time (I arrived late for our date).

People talk about how hard it is to live with someone, but believe me, if you find the right one you can tell how much harder it would be living without him. Things were always natural between us, so natural that time has flown by and here we are now sharing our commitment with those we love the most.
